I was given an advanced reading copy of Taming The Cougar by Cree Walker in exchange for an honest review.
Lynn is thirty-one and in the process of restoring her great-aunt's Victorian into a bed and breakfast. John Dillard is twenty-one and Lynn's foundation expert. He's also embedded deep into her fantasies. This is where the fun begins.
I really enjoyed reading TAMING THE COUGAR by CREE WALKER. I must say that I haven't laughed as hard as I did when reading this short story in quite some time. This story is fun from beginning to end.
As many of you know, I have really become fond of reading short stories. One of the reasons is that I don't have to commit too much time to reading in my busy everyday life. The other reason is that I sometimes come across an author I haven't read before that I truly enjoy. That is the case with TAMING THE COUGAR. I enjoyed the flow of the book, the writing style, the laughter and the dialog between characters. There were moments between Lynn and Samantha, her best friend, that had me rolling on the floor.
I enjoyed TAMING THE COUGAR by CREE WALKER so much that as soon as I finished it, I purchased a full length novel of Ms. Walker's. If you like romantic comedy, you'll love this book. If you haven't read erotica and are not sure that you are ready for it, this is a great book to start out with. There is only one steaming hot scene and it's really well written.
Lynn is a thirty-something, single woman who has just inherited her great aunt’s crumbling old Victorian. Lynn has a lot of work to do before the old place is ready to be called a bed and breakfast and her eyes are on the prize.
Unfortunately, her eyes are also firmly glued to the posterior of her twenty-one year old foundation expert, John Dillard. She finds herself drawn to the younger man like a moth to a flame. Lynn decides that if she is a cougar, she isn't a very good one but John has other plans and they involve a little game of chase.
